Hautes Pyrénées The Area. It is a region blessed with stunning scenery, good food, good living and boasts a large number of centenarian inhabitants! The main airport for the region is based in Toulouse Blagnac, with smaller regional airports at Pau, and Lourdes Tarbes in the south, services by low cost ait carriers such as Ryan Air. Road networks are good and the area is crossed by the Autoroute A 61 from west coast to east coast and intersections north to Paris and beyond and south to Barcelona, Madrid (Spain).
